The mother of all man-crushes: A Tribute to John Mayer

To me personally, I see John Mayer as the alpha-male. Dashing good looks, a voice that would make baby angels jealous, guitar skills that we haven't seen the likes of since Clapton, incredible versatility as a musician, not to mention that the dude is freakin' hilarious.

A couple of weeks ago, John Mayer, was on a VH1 show named "Storytellers" which happens to be one of my favorite concert programs. It's more than just a concert show because the artist usually discusses what influenced him in writing a song before he plays it. So check out the entire show and just TRY watching this entire program without falling victim to his wit and charm, the dude is amazing:

"No Such Thing"

"Daughters"

"Heartbreak Warfare"

"Your Body is a Wonderland" (off the top of this video he does an impromptu new version of "Daughters" and it's hilarious)

"Who Says"

"Waiting on the World to Change"

If you don't believe that John Mayer is hilarious watch this video from years ago of him in a bear suit...

Mayer also shows off his versatility in an previously unreleased track he did with Kanye West from years back named "Bittersweet Poetry." It has always been one of my favorite Kanye songs, if you haven't heard it, listen here:

The "Behind-the-Scenes" of the making of this song is also absolutely hilarious and has been one of my favorite internet videos for years:

If that wasn't enough John Mayer live for you. He did a really cool thing a couple of months ago; a webcast titled "Live on Letterman" which was an entire set from the Ed Sullivan Theatre and you can watch it in it's entirety here:

Juicy Justin's Daily Song: John Mayer "Comfortable"
I can honestly say that I'm a big fan of many John Mayer songs, however only one sticks out as my favorite. "Comfortable" never became a hit single, it came out in 1999 on an EP named "Inside Wants Out" and more than any other song written by Mayer; I've got an emotional attachment to it. Every time I listen to it I can't help but reflect on past relationships and the little things that made those relationships worth while or worth abandoning. It's the ultimate tribute to "the one that got away" and I know most of us have one or more of those.

No homo.

Stay gold.
