Before there was Usher, Ne-Yo, and Robin Thicke there was Jon B. The year was 1997, Madonna won an Oscar, The Florida Marlins won the World Series, Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear off, and I was in 7th grade. At that point in my life I had no concept of what love was but I loved this song. I dedicated it to all my middle school crushes, now if only they knew that, I guess "They Don't Know" ziiiing. In my day we used to call these songs "slow jams" and I think that it's still the most timeless music to me; Jon B., Boyz II Men, 112, etc. make for the best singalongs and they bring back some solid memories to me and all my friends that grew up with these 90's "slow jams:. To this day I still love this song and get stoked when it plays on my iPod. Hopefully you remember this song too and it takes you back, if not, maybe you'll have a new song to put on the next mix-tape you make for a girl or boy you like.
