It's Christmas time again.
Though in Southern California, it doesn't feel like Christmas time. I wish the weather would cooperate. For the first time in years I'm pretty stoked about Christmas, this year it isn't about presents it's about spending time with my friends and family. And if you are in the Christmas spirit or in need of it, I've compiled a list of my favorite Christmas (or Christmas related) songs....
First, a classic, Blink 182's "I won't be home for Christmas." There's just something about pop-punk Christmas songs.
Honestly one of my favorites; I guess its my fault for being with such shitty girls during X-mas. Fall Out Boy "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out."
Taking Back Sunday "12 Days of Christmas."
This live version of Imogen Heap's "Just For Now" is awesome.
Saosin "Mookie's Last Christmas"
Thrice "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" - John Lennon cover
Bright Eyes "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"
Dashboard Confessional "Only Gift That I Need"...sorry about the anime.
Sum 41 & Tenacious D "The Things I Want"...for all you metalheads.
The Used "Alone This Holiday"...I don't get why this is set to footage from the Sims.
RUN-DMC "Christmas in Hollis." The only hip hop group cool enough to have an X-mas song. Now that's some Rev-Run Wisdom!
Nothing beats Wham's "Last Christmas"
Well maybe John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War is Over)"
Hope everyone has a Happy Holiday! Be safe!
Stay gold.
